- Images you upload for listings, events, posts, or reviews.
- Business proof documents (e.g. GST certificate, shop licence) submitted for claimed listings.
Usage & Technical Information
- Pages visited, search queries, and interactions within the platform (collected anonymously via analytics).
- Device type, browser, and operating system for compatibility purposes.
- IP address and approximate location (city-level), used for fraud prevention and analytics.
- Push notification tokens if you opt in to notifications on the mobile app.
Payment Information
- We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway.
- We retain transaction reference numbers and payment status for billing records and support purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the platform: displaying your listings, reviews, events, and posts; processing payments; authenticating your account.
- To improve our services: understanding how users navigate the directory to improve search, categories, and content.
- To communicate with you: sending account verification emails, OTPs, listing approval status, support replies, and important service notices.
- For moderation: reviewing submitted content (listings, reviews, events, posts) for accuracy and policy compliance before publishing.
- For fraud prevention: detecting suspicious activity, duplicate accounts, or abuse of the listing and review system.
- For legal compliance: retaining records as required under applicable Indian law.

- Access & correction: You can view and update your profile, listings, events, and posts from your account settings at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete your account directly from your profile page (Account tab → Delete Account) on the website or via Me → Edit Profile → Delete Account in the mobile app. Your account and associated data will be permanently removed. Note that publicly visible listing, event, or post content may remain on record as required by law.
- Opt out of marketing: We do not send marketing emails. All communications are operational (OTP, account updates, review status). You may disable push notifications in your device settings.
- Data portability: You may request a copy of your account data by contacting support.
- Withdrawal of consent: If you shared optional information, you may update or remove it from your profile or listing at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
Nangainallur Directory is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has been submitted, please contact us immediately at support@nangainallur.com and we will remove it promptly.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Business proof documents are retained as required for verification and compliance. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form.

We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
